There's an old saying: "It's better to give than to receive." We agree with this wholeheartedly, because it dupes everyone else into showering us with presents. And in December, the month of giving, networks are already handing over some gifts. Starz started things off by renewing Sweetpea, the dark comedy starring Ella Purnell as a put-upon woman who takes things into her own hands and begins murdering lowlifes. That was quickly followed by Peacock ordering a fourth and final season of Bel-Air, the daring, dramatic do-over of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Hulu announcing a second season of its sexy new drama Rivals, Showtime asking for more of the new series The Agency, and Max going for seconds of Like Water for Chocolate.
